Comedy

A well known comedian in Jamaica, Tony Hendricks, pays homage to the culture of waiting in his television broadcasts. He carries a chair along the route of his daily peregrination. At each station of his via dolorosa: the busstop, the bank, etc, he waits, seated. Waiting at the interface: hours for the bus, hours on the bus, hours at the doctor, at the insurance office, at the tax office. Waiting is an art that requires much practise. |
