Formulating
the problem
By thinking about your focus and asking questions
about it you have the power to formulate a problem. But what exactly is a
problem? Well, a problem is something difficult: a puzzle, a question proposed
for solution. A problem is not necessarily negative or in any way depressing.
Usually it is challenging. You have to formulate your problem as a short simple
and preferably answerable question.
An
example of a problem relating to the focus given earlier might be: What are the
parallels between Jamaican and West African Spatial Organisation?
