Homelessness &
Scale
The range of
scale: from the smallest space in which you live eternity, to the next smallest
space where you ponder the circulation of substance, to the largest room, that
of the king and the homeless, with the homeless living in a palace infinitely
larger than the palace and therefore being infinitely more lonely than even the
king.
The smallest and
the largest possible spaces, that of the dead and the homeless respectively,
are the only constants in architecture. All the other spaces are measurements
of something beyond themselves.
